BAY, Ark. (KAIT) – Now that a former police officer no longer faces charges in a fatal pursuit, Arkansas State Police have released the dashcam video and its investigative records.
In October 2023, then-Bay Police Officer Christopher Shull struck a side-by-side utility vehicle driven by Stephen Kyle McMasters. The UTV then crashed into a utility pole, killing McMasters.
Last week, a grand jury failed to find probable cause to indict Shull. The prosecuting attorney’s office said the case was closed, and no further charges would be filed.
On Wednesday, June 12, ASP released all video, photos, and investigative material following a Freedom of Information Act request submitted by K8 News.
