The Oklahoma City Thunder made some roster changes before their recent game against the Phoenix Suns in the Summer League. Adam Flagler, Dillon Jones, and Ajay Mitchell will no longer participate in the games after showcasing their skills in five previous matches. This decision allowed the team to focus on other players who still needed to prove themselves on the court.
With only Keyontae Johnson and Buddy Boeheim remaining as the players with NBA experience on the active roster, the Thunder faced a tough challenge. Ousmane Dieng was also sidelined before the team’s arrival in Vegas. Unfortunately, the Thunder’s record dropped to 2-4 after a loss to the Phoenix Suns in Sin City.
Despite a slow start, the Thunder managed to pick up the pace during the game against the Suns. Unlike their initial struggles against the Raptors and Heat, the Thunder kept the game close and competitive, ultimately losing by a narrow margin of 100-99 due to a late-game foul by Johnson in the final seconds.
Although the foul may overshadow Johnson’s performance, the free agent forward showcased his skills with 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists during the Vegas showcase, highlighting his potential for a future NBA opportunity.
