Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led a whole lot in marching throughout the Edmund Pettis Bridge in Selma, AL on March 7, 1965 to protest the remedy of Black Individuals and demand their proper to vote. After crossing the span, they have been met with state troopers who brutally beat them with batons and tear gasoline — the photographs of which led to a nationwide outcry.
