**Carlos Santos**, the first coach of four-time Grand Slam champion **Carlos Alcaraz**, shared insights about the strengths and weaknesses of the young Spanish tennis player during his early years.
“All of his strokes were impressive, except for his serve. We practiced it extensively, but he never executed it the way I preferred. In my mind, I always had the thought that he had three excellent shots, yet they didn’t compensate for a solid serve,” Santos stated, as reported by Punto de Break.
Alcaraz started playing tennis at the age of four in his father’s tennis school. In his early years, he idolized Rafael Nadal. At 15, he joined the Equelite academy in Villena, where he began training under former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero.
