The world’s top-ranked tennis player, Italian star Jannik Sinner, shared his thoughts on whether reaching the final of the clay court Masters in Rome (Italy) will boost his confidence at Roland Garros. In the final match, he lost to Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 6-7 (5-7), 1-6.

“We’ll see. Making it to the final after a three-month break from the tour is certainly a great achievement. This was my first major final on clay, and I shouldn’t underestimate this experience since we’ve put in a lot of effort to get here. I realized there are still some areas to improve, and Grand Slams present a different challenge altogether. It’s essential to be mentally prepared and physically harness the right energy. Above all, consistency and determination are key,” Sinner stated as quoted by Punto de Break.

In the first round of Roland Garros, Jannik Sinner will compete against French player Arthur Rinderknech.
