Nigerian winger of FC Krasnodar, **Olakunle Olusegun**, shared his feelings about his debut with the Russian club, which he compared to playing for FC Barcelona. Olusegun joined Krasnodar from Bulgarian side Botev in July 2022.

“I was thrilled when I was promoted from the reserve team to the first team, as I didn’t see it coming. During my first match, I felt like I was in ‘Barcelona.’ Now, having played 100 matches, it’s a significant achievement, and I am glad to be here. We have fantastic fans who always support us, whether we win or lose,” Olusegun mentioned in an interview on Match TV.

This season, Olusegun has appeared in 28 matches for Krasnodar across all competitions, scoring three goals. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028. According to the online portal Transfermarkt, the market value of the 23-year-old player is €2.5 million.

In the current standings of the Russian Premier League for the 2024/2025 season, Krasnodar leads with 64 points after 29 matches. In their next game, Murad Musaev’s side will face FC Dynamo Moscow. The match is scheduled for today, May 24, with a kick-off at 16:30 Moscow time.
