The hockey club “Torpedo” from Nizhny Novgorod has secured a two-year contract with forward Alexey Kruchinin. Kruchinin previously played for the Nizhny Novgorod team and in the 2022/2023 season, he recorded a total of 54 points (15 goals and 39 assists) in 65 games, making him the club’s leading assist provider and its second-highest scorer.
“Alexey Kruchinin is well-known to our fans. He has been an integral part of the Torpedo family and has made a strong and professional impression both on and off the ice. We are genuinely pleased to welcome him back to Nizhny Novgorod. Alexey is a player with great hockey intelligence, a keen understanding of the game, and the ability to enhance his teammates’ performances. Equally important is his capacity as a true leader: he knows how to inspire others, foster team spirit, and set the right tone in the locker room. I am confident that his experience and professionalism will be invaluable to the entire team, both on the ice and beyond. Welcome back, Alexey!” remarked the club’s general manager, Evgeny Zabuga, according to the team’s press office.
In the 2024/2025 season, the 33-year-old Kruchinin played for Severstal in Cherepovets, participating in 58 games (including playoffs) and accumulating 27 points (10 goals and 17 assists).
