The goalkeeper coach of FC Kuban, **Andrey Sinitsyn**, shared his thoughts on the potential appointment of former Spartak Moscow defender **Andrey Yeshchenko** as the head coach of the Krasnodar club.

“Currently, Andrey Yeshchenko is serving as the acting head coach of Kuban. It hasn’t been officially confirmed that he will take on the role permanently, but we’re all anticipating that decision. Naturally, we hope he officially becomes the head coach and gets the opportunity to prove himself. We have been preparing the team for the last two matches. The most recent game did not go well, but overall, the team has been playing with a lot more enthusiasm,” Sinitsyn stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.

Andrey Yeshchenko has been with Kuban since the summer of 2023. In June 2025, the 41-year-old took over as the acting head coach. There have been earlier reports suggesting that the former Spartak player might be appointed as the head coach on a permanent basis.
