Florida Panthers forward **Sam Bennett** stated that the title of most valuable player in the NHL playoffs should have gone to the Russian goalie **[Sergei Bobrovsky](https://www.nhl.com/player/sergei-bobrovsky-8471672)**. Bobrovsky finished third in the voting for the Conn Smythe Trophy, while the award ultimately went to Bennett himself.

“I have never seen a goalie so focused and determined. It’s incredible. That’s why he is the most valuable player. Every night he is a key player for us. Everything relies on him. He instills confidence in us. He’s a one-of-a-kind player,” Bennett said, as reported by SportsCenter.

During the playoffs, Bobrovsky recorded 16 wins in 23 games, with a save percentage of 91.4% and a goals-against average of 2.2, including three shutouts.
