LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The way forward for well being care is taking form, one pupil at a time. As Nevada continues to face a crucial scarcity of nurses and well being care professionals, Clark County college students are scrubbing in and getting a head begin in saving lives — because of a novel summer season camp alternative.
The SPARK Camp (College students Pursuing Developments in Actual-World Information) is coaching middle-schoolers to turn out to be the subsequent heartbeat of well being care.
“I’ve always been very passionate about going into the health care system,” stated pupil Alexi Holdridge. “So far, I’ve learned about S-BAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation) and about how to treat babies, how to treat dummies, and how to check for pulse.”
