Renowned Russian coach **Eteri Tutberidze** shared her thoughts on being single. She raised her daughter, **Diana Davis**, on her own.
“Of course, no normal woman plans to be a single mother. All young girls envision themselves as princesses, being cherished, with everything around them resembling a fairytale. However, life unfolds differently. You cannot control all circumstances. You either accept your life and paint it with the colors you have, or you become a victim, narrating in every interview how difficult and lonely your life is. I choose to move in a different direction and feel perfectly fine.
**— It seems like you’ve denied yourself the chance to be happy as a woman by prioritizing your career. Yet, you look stunning!**
— Looking good is also hard work. I’m 51 years old, and I haven’t traded my personal life for a career; this is just how I live. I enjoy seeing the fruits of my labor, I have surrounded myself with wonderful people, and I don’t feel lonely.
In my opinion, if for some reason there’s no man by your side, you should simply enjoy life as it is. There’s no reason to suffer or to seek someone out—if it’s meant to happen, it will happen. If something isn’t meant to be, then something else will come along,” Tutberidze told the magazine, noting that “the editorial opinion may not reflect her own.”
