LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Surrounded by her elementary college students, Shambrion Treadwell reduce the crimson ribbon in entrance of Las Vegas’ latest constitution college, a program that’s in a category of its personal.
Do and Be Arts Academy of Excellence, positioned inside the Aguilas Christian Household Heart, held the grand opening for his or her 225 college students and their mother and father on Thursday. The Okay-8 program initially began as an after-school enterprise, in accordance with Treadwell, its founder.
“I know that it’s only step one, and there’s so much more work to be done as far as fundraising and to get that four- and five-star rating,” she stated. “But it’s a beautiful moment to celebrate where we’ve come so far.”

“[My mom] always said that you can do anything, can be anything,” Treadwell stated. “I felt like it was important to instill that in the foundation of our school, for our students, so they can dream big.”
