New petition responds to latest commerce violations from Indonesia, Laos, and India 

Washington, D.C. — Confronting market manipulation pushed by firms in Indonesia, Laos, and India, U.S. photo voltaic producers yesterday filed new antidumping and countervailing responsibility (AD/CVD) petitions with the U.S. Worldwide Commerce Fee (ITC) and the U.S. Division of Commerce. The petitions had been filed by The Alliance for American Photo voltaic Manufacturing and Commerce, which incorporates First Photo voltaic, Mission Photo voltaic Vitality, and Qcells, with Talon PV Photo voltaic Options as a supporter. 

The petitions search investigations into unlawful commerce practices by largely Chinese language-owned producers working in Laos and Indonesia, in addition to firms headquartered in India, that are harming the U.S. photo voltaic manufacturing trade by violating commerce legal guidelines.  Along with a spread of alleged unlawful subsidies, the petitioners recognized dumping margins of 89.65% for Indonesia, 245.79–249.09% for Laos, and 213.96% for India. 

An AD/CVD petition triggers a quasi-judicial course of through which the U.S. Division of Commerce investigates whether or not imports are unfairly priced (dumped) or backed, whereas the U.S. ITC determines whether or not these imports have injured the home trade.
