LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A mining firm that met heavy opposition from the desert neighborhood of Amargosa Valley is shifting on, heading to Brazil to search for gold.

“The demise of the Ash Meadows lithium project is a testament to the conviction of the communities of the Amargosa Basin in defense of water, wildlife and home,” Mason Voehl, campaigns director on the Amargosa Conservancy, mentioned. “Let this be a clear message to the mining industry: Leave Ash Meadows alone or prepare for a long battle.”

Rover Vital Minerals is not any extra, altering its title to Stockworks Gold, Inc., based on the conservation group Middle for Organic Variety (CBD). The corporate had pursued lithium exploration that might have intruded on the Ash Meadows Nationwide Wildlife Refuge.
