Coldplay has revealed that the last two performances in London for their Music of the Spheres World Tour will be postponed due to a scheduled Tube strike.

In a statement posted on their website, the band expressed that it would be “impossible” to transport 82,000 attendees to and from Wembley Stadium without the availability of London Underground services.

They continued, stating, “As a result, no event license can be issued for the evenings of September 7th and 8th.”

To prevent outright cancellation of the concerts, the performance originally slated for Sunday, September 7th will now take place on Saturday, September 6th, while the show originally planned for Monday, September 8th will be rescheduled to Friday, September 12th.

Coldplay confirmed that all tickets will be honored for the new dates, and fans can use their existing tickets for entry.

They mentioned, “Ticket holders unable to attend the rescheduled performances can request a full refund on their ticket and should reach out to their point of purchase by 12:00 BST on Tuesday, September 2nd.”

Tickets that are returned will be available for resale starting at 11:00 on Wednesday, September 3rd.

Performances on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday will continue as originally scheduled.

The band expressed their regret over the “inevitable disappointment, frustration, and inconvenience” this situation has caused for their fans.
