LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metro Police Division is constant to include expertise into its crime-fighting instruments, asserting on Wednesday it’s going to construct 13 completely different hubs throughout Clark County that may home police drones.
These drones will probably be used to help officers responding to violent calls by getting an aerial view of a criminal offense scene.
“What from my perspective sounded like science fiction, maybe something really is now becoming a reality here as we push the limits of technology,” LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren stated.
In accordance with LVMPD, the 13 sky ports are at the moment beneath building and will probably be operational by the tip of the 12 months. Metro declined to say the situation of the sky ports, however will make public what areas the ports cowl.
