LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas film studio saga has no scarcity of plot twists, as the identical forged of politicians, enterprise leaders, and union members reprise their roles to battle over the stalled venture.
Tons of of commerce union members rallied to revive the Summerlin film studio plan on the Las Vegas Ballpark on Wednesday. The plan, part of a failed tax credit score proposal within the state meeting, is anticipated to go on the agenda for an incoming particular legislative session.
“With this coming to Vegas, we won’t have to look for another job,” Dennis Campbell, a Labor Union Native 872 member, stated. “The job will be right there for us, right there.”

Campbell joined members of greater than 20 labor unions, totaling about 25,000 Southern Nevada development and commerce employees, who began the political motion committee, “Nevada Jobs Now,” which goals to again expanded movie tax credit, which might give $95 million in credit over 15 years to studios and filmmakers.
“We need to pass it because it’s better for our family and it’s better for the unions,” he stated. “It will help us feed our family and kids like this little, young boy, who might want to join. He might have a job and just go and work at the movies.”
