The former head coach of the Russian national team, **Vladimir Plyushchev**, commented on the suspension of Spartak forward **Ivan Morozov** due to cocaine use. The hockey player previously admitted to using the drug and apologized to both the club and its fans. Currently, Morozov is barred from participating in games and training.
“To be honest, it’s difficult to comment on this situation. The mere fact that a person has consumed drugs indicates there were circumstances that led to it. It’s not a pleasant situation at all. As for his return to hockey, that will depend entirely on him. If he wants to come back, he must be willing to give up his reckless behavior, focus on self-improvement, and demonstrate that he is ready to commit to the sport.
If he truly realizes that his mindset was not right at one point and he chose to take a risk—despite the fact that it’s been proven time and again that such behavior is utterly foolish—then he will make a comeback. Yes, he may have to make some sacrifices, and there may be consequences, but in the end, it all rests on him,” Plyushchev was quoted by **RIA Novosti**.
