The Metropolitan Police have announced the arrest of two additional individuals in relation to a robbery at Heathrow Airport that left 21 people suffering from injuries attributed to what is believed to be pepper spray.

A 24-year-old man was apprehended in Lambeth on charges of robbery and assault, while a 23-year-old woman was taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both suspects are currently being held by law enforcement.

These arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred at the multi-storey car park of Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were victimized and had their suitcases stolen as they exited a car park lift.

Among those injured was a three-year-old girl. Five individuals required hospital treatment but have since been released.

Earlier, officers took a 31-year-old man into custody near the incident site on similar charges, but he has been released pending further investigation.

Authorities received calls around 08:10 GMT regarding multiple injuries caused by a harmful substance thought to be pepper spray.

The Metropolitan Police indicated that this assault was an isolated event and is not being investigated as an act of terrorism. The incident caused temporary disruptions, including train delays and a brief partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.
