The head coach of the “Russia 25” team, **[Roman Rotenberg](#)**, shared his reflections on the recently concluded Channel One Cup and expressed gratitude to KHL clubs for allowing their players to participate in the tournament.
“The Channel One Cup in Novosibirsk has come to a close. This week was eventful, vibrant, and truly significant — for the national team, for the youth, for the fans, and for the advancement of our hockey overall.
The hockey festival in Novosibirsk created a sense of unity. It featured a master show, 3×3 tournaments for both children and adults, a match and practice for sled hockey players, and for the first time, the Channel One Cup. It was a genuine hockey celebration where everyone felt like a part of the wider hockey community.
I would like to extend a special thank you to the KHL clubs that collaborated and released their players to join the national team. Thanks to CSKA, Dynamo Moscow, Metallurg, Severstal, Ak Bars, Salavat Yulaev, Traktor, Avtomobilist, Sochi, Lokomotiv, Torpedo, Siberia, Neftekhimik, and Admiral. Such cooperation and responsiveness are the foundation of a strong national team and the growth of hockey in Russia.
Heartfelt thanks to Novosibirsk for the warm hospitality. The packed stands, attention, and genuine support at every event of the hockey festival were palpable.
