A woman who bought a luxury apartment in Moscow from pop singer Larisa Dolina has requested the court to forcibly remove the singer, as she allegedly refused to give up the keys, according to Russian state media on Monday.
“We are awaiting the official decision to commence enforcement actions,” said Svetlana Sviridenko, attorney for the buyer Polina Lurye, while speaking to the state-owned TASS news agency. Sviridenko indicated that she had submitted a request for eviction to the court bailiffs on behalf of her client.
Polina Lurye, a 34-year-old businesswoman, acquired the five-room apartment in the upscale Khamovniki area of Moscow from Dolina in 2024. It was later revealed that the 70-year-old singer had been tricked into selling her property by scammers impersonating FSB agents.
Additionally, the fraudsters had also interacted with Lurye, who, unaware of the deceit, paid them 112 million rubles (approximately $1.4 million) for Dolina’s apartment.
The ensuing legal dispute between Lurye and Dolina over the rightful ownership of the Moscow apartment made headlines across Russia for several months and eventually reached the Supreme Court of Russia.
In December, the Supreme Court concluded that Lurye was indeed the legitimate owner of the apartment, marking a noteworthy victory for individuals lacking ties to the Kremlin in Russia’s legal landscape.
According to Russian law, once enforcement proceedings are initiated, Dolina has five days to vacate the apartment…
