Las Vegas – The Raiders moved quickly to solidify their new head coach Klint Kubiak’s staff following his recent appointment.[1]

Klint Kubiak wasted no time installing his top lieutenants. The Raiders named Andrew Janocko as offensive coordinator, marking his first time in the role. Janocko, a longtime associate of Kubiak from stints with the Vikings, Saints, and Seahawks, steps into play-calling duties.[1][2]

Rob Leonard earned a promotion to defensive coordinator after serving as a holdover assistant. Leonard coached the defensive line for three seasons, working closely with star edge rusher Maxx Crosby. The Raiders tallied 46 sacks in 2023 under his guidance. Crosby endorsed the move, calling Leonard a “Legend” on Instagram.[1][3]

Joe DeCamillis joined as special teams coordinator, bringing decades of NFL experience. All three coordinators fell into place less than a week after Kubiak accepted the head coaching position.

Defensive Line Veteran Returns to Raiders

Travis Smith rejoined the Raiders as defensive line coach after nearly a decade away. Smith worked in various roles with Las Vegas from 2012 to 2021, including assisting on the defensive line alongside Rod Marinelli. Maxx Crosby emerged as a star during that period.[1]
