Visalia, California – Police uncovered two handguns in separate bedrooms of a local home Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of a 37-year-old man on child endangerment charges and the detention of a 16-year-old on firearm violations.[1][2]

Traffic Stop Sets Stage for Search Warrant

Officers first made contact with Zachariah Viscarra during a routine traffic stop Tuesday morning. Authorities detained the 37-year-old resident as part of an ongoing investigation. Shortly after, around 10:30 a.m., specialized teams moved to execute a search warrant at his residence in the 3800 block of East Oak Avenue.[2]

The operation involved the Visalia Narcotics Unit and support from the Visalia Police Department’s HOPE Team. This coordinated effort ensured a swift and secure search of the property. Viscarra remained in custody throughout the process, allowing investigators to proceed without interruption.

Firearms Discovered in Private Spaces

Inside Viscarra’s bedroom, searchers located a dual-caliber Taurus Judge revolver. In another room belonging to the 16-year-old occupant, officers found a separate Colt revolver. These discoveries prompted immediate action against both individuals present.[1]
