KB Home marked a significant milestone with Sandstone, its biggest undertaking in Southern Nevada over the past ten years. The company acquired more than 200 acres in late 2024 for approximately $91 million, positioning the site north of the 215 Beltway-North Fifth Street interchange.[1] Aerial imagery from late January captured crews engaged in grading, road construction, and homesite delineation, underscoring the project’s momentum.
Jim McDade, president of KB Home’s Las Vegas division, highlighted the firm’s recent commitments. “We’ve made some significant investments here recently,” he stated, reflecting optimism amid regional expansion.[1] This scale surpasses prior efforts, as the builder navigates a competitive landscape.
Strategic Location Within Tule Springs Master Plan
The development nestles within the Villages at Tule Springs master plan corridor, near North Fifth Street and Sandstone Ranch Parkway. City approvals for tentative maps and parcels cleared the path for phased rollout. Infrastructure work, including streets and utilities, precedes vertical construction across the expansive parcel.
