Las Vegas – Athletes from local high schools turned in memorable efforts during Wednesday’s baseball, softball and boys volleyball matchups, signaling a strong start to the spring season.[1]

Silverado senior Giovanni Guariglia launched two home runs and drove in four runs to power his team past The Meadows 14-10 in a thriller.[1]

Other results painted a picture of offensive dominance. Arbor View shut out Tech 10-0, while Foothill routed Cimarron-Memorial 21-1. Liberty held off Shadow Ridge 10-9, and Palo Verde earned a 7-2 tournament victory over Sierra Vista behind senior pitcher Kyle Johnson’s two-hit gem over 6.2 innings.[1]
