North Las Vegas – Authorities took two men into custody following a midday shooting at a local business that stemmed from an attempted robbery. The incident unfolded Thursday around noon in the 1100 block of East Craig Road near Bruce Street, where police responded to reports of gunfire.[1][2] North Las Vegas police linked the suspects to multiple robbery-related events in the area beforehand. Both victims struck by bullets received hospital treatment and stabilized quickly.
Altercation Escalates to Gunfire
Officers arrived at the business to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators determined that Jesus Lemus Pacheco and Adrian Hernandez approached a juvenile male victim outside the location.[2] One of the suspects tried to forcibly remove a chain from the young man, sparking a physical fight.
The struggle prompted the assailant to draw a handgun and fire several rounds. The intended victim sustained injuries, as did an uninvolved adult woman nearby. Police recovered the suspected weapon along with stolen items shortly after the arrests.[1]
Suspects Tied to Robbery Pattern
North Las Vegas police connected Pacheco and Hernandez to a series of robberies before the shooting. The pair targeted individuals in the vicinity, authorities stated. Their capture ended the immediate threat from this spree.
