Russian drone attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Dnipro and Kharkiv during the night resulted in at least one death and numerous injuries, according to regional officials on Wednesday.
“The adversary carried out a significant strike with Shahed drones on the city,” stated Serhiy Lysak, the Governor of Dnipropetrovsk region. “A 53-year-old man lost his life, and my thoughts are with his family and friends.”
Lysak noted that the most severe damage occurred in residential areas, where fires erupted in parts of the regional center; however, firefighters were able to manage the situation afterward.
The governor reported that one house was completely destroyed, and several others sustained major damage. “Additionally, a local business, a funeral service office, and a passenger vehicle were also impacted,” Lysak mentioned.
In Kharkiv, 45 individuals were reported injured, including two children, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. Kharkiv’s Mayor Ihor Terekhov previously indicated that the city experienced 16 strikes and confirmed that 39 people were hurt.
Ukraine’s Air Force reported successfully intercepting 50 Russian drones nationwide during the night. Overall, Russia launched 108 drones against Ukraine, according to the air force.
