LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Houses alongside West Primary Highway in Henderson obtained free enhancements as a part of Rebuilding Collectively Southern Nevada’s “Make a Difference Day.”
Volunteers trimmed bushes, cleaned yards, painted house handle numbers and whole homes. It’s not the primary time Rebuilding Collectively Southern Nevada has been to the neighborhood — the group made crucial repairs to a number of the properties.
“Our average client lives off of $21,000 a year, and a brand new air conditioner costs $16,000,” Rebuilding Collectively Southern Nevada CEO Bob Cleveland stated. “There’s just no way they can afford it. We have so many clients that don’t have air conditioning for two, three, four years. Can you imagine living in your house in July for one day without an air conditioner? And they do it for years.”
