The press service of the “Agrocom Group” has clarified the stance of **Ivan Savvidi** regarding the entrepreneur’s intentions to assume the presidency of the FC “Rostov”. In October 2025, the businessman stated that he does not aim to return to the club, although he would not refuse to assist the governor if deemed necessary. Savvidi did not rule out his involvement in resolving significant issues related to the club’s operations. Notably, he previously served as president of “Rostov” from 2002 to 2005, during which time the team’s name changed from “Rostselmash”.
“Recently, certain media outlets have been deliberately spreading information about the supposed intentions of the chairman of the board of directors of the ‘Agrocom Group’, Ivan Savvidi, to take on the role of president of FC ‘Rostov’. These publications are unfounded and have a provocative nature.
Their objective is to destabilize an already difficult situation surrounding the football team. Ivan Savvidi has not planned and does not plan (under any circumstances) to lead the club or manage its operations,” stated the press service of the company in a message posted on the organization’s [Telegram channel](https://t.me/agrocomgroup/711).
Previously, Artashes Arutyunyan had left the position of president of “Rostov”.
