LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A person who was being held within the Clark County Detention Heart has been turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in violation of a court docket order to ship him to an inpatient therapy facility, in accordance with the ACLU of Nevada.
A doc filed on Thursday signifies Sergio Morais-Hechavarria, 36, was launched on to ICE on Oct. 16 and despatched to a station on the U.S.-Mexico border, days after an ACLU lawsuit was filed to problem the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division’s settlement to carry individuals at ICE’s request.
Morais-Hechavarria had been in jail with no specified date for launch since he was arrested on June 17 on a cost of making an attempt to own a stolen automobile.
