LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Culinary Union introduced that will probably be picketing at Harry Reid Worldwide Airport Wednesday, because it set a strike deadline for a number of companies contained in the airport.

Culinary Union Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge and Culinary Union members went in entrance of the Clark County Fee to voice considerations about a number of of the airport’s Deprived Enterprise Enterprises (DBE).

The union mentioned that staff on the enterprise have gone 4 years with out raises and “have been subjected to disrespectful negotiation tactics by companies who have made proposals that threaten health care benefits, reduce recall rights, among other items, and many have not given workers raises in years.”

The union is picketing the DBE operators at Harry Reid Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The DBEs are 10 employers that cowl 20 shops with almost 400 culinary union staff together with American Bagel (T3), Bagelmania (T1), Espresso Bean & Tea Leaf (T1 & T3), Jamba Juice (T1 & T3), Jersey Mike’s (T1), Nathan’s (T1), Port O’Subs (T1 & T3), and Wendy’s (T1),

“The cooks are servers there are about $3 or $4 an hour behind the rest of the workers at the airport,” Pappageorge mentioned throughout public remark at a Clark County Fee assembly Tuesday. “The latest proposal is to have no wage increases until next year and its $0.25 where we are at with a wage increase.
