McLaren staff principal Andrea Stella has confirmed that the Woking outfit will proceed with its strategy of giving Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri equal therapy within the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
The Qatar Grand Prix ended with Piastri ending in second behind Max Verstappen after ranging from pole place, and Lando Norris missed out on a podium with a fourth-place end after ranging from second.
Whereas Norris misplaced a place to Verstappen at the beginning of the race, it was McLaren’s resolution to not pit both driver when the security automotive was deployed on lap 7 that appeared to derail the staff’s race.
