FIRST ON FOX: The Georgia Senate is ramping up its investigation into alleged marketing campaign finance violations tied to Stacey Abrams’ voter outreach group, with a prime lawmaker vowing to “comply with the info wherever they lead” as subpoenas have been issued to Abrams and different key figures.
The Senate Particular Committee on Investigations introduced Monday that Abrams, together with New Georgia Challenge leaders Lauren Groh-Wargo and Nsé Ufot, should seem earlier than lawmakers on the State Capitol at 10 a.m. on Friday.
“This committee has a duty to comply with the info wherever they lead,” mentioned Republican state Sen. Greg Dolezal, the committee’s vice chairman. “Georgia legislation requires transparency and accountability in our elections.”
